Denver, CO (June 25, 2014) – The U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals today issued a decision upholding a District Court ruling striking down Utah’s discriminatory ban on marriage for same-sex couples.

(Evansville, IN, June 25, 2014) — Today, U.S. District Court Judge Richard L. Young ruled that Indiana’s discriminatory ban on marriage for same-sex couples is unconstitutional.

(San Juan, PR, June 25, 2014) — Today in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, Lambda Legal filed an amended complaint seeking to end the discriminatory limits on marriage in Puerto Rico.

(San Juan, PR, June 24, 2014) — Yesterday, the Puerto Rico Senate confirmed attorney Maite Oronoz Rodríguez as an Associate Justice to the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, marking the first time that an openly lesbian judicial nominee is confirmed to the Commonwealth’s highest court.

(New York, June 20, 2014)—Today the Department of Justice (DOJ) released a report recounting extensive recognition of same-sex spouses for purposes of federal benefits.  But the DOJ asserts that access for married same-sex couples and survivors living in states that deny recognition to their marriages to some of the most critical benefits offered by the Social Security Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs will require legislative action.
