Lambda Legal Statement On Union Contract Ratification

(August 26, 2019) – Today, Lambda Legal’s employee union announced the ratification of its inaugural union contract with the organization. The ratification follows the December 2017 vote by staff to unionize and subsequent negotiations between management and the union.

Lambda Legal Interim CEO Richard Burns issued the following statement:

“The employees of Lambda Legal have always been our most valuable asset, and I am delighted that management and staff have successfully reached our first collective bargaining agreement. This contract was negotiated in good faith and addresses priority improvements for staff while maintaining a fiscally responsible approach that allows the aggressive pursuit of our mission.
