"An elderly man evicted from a North Little Rock assisted-living center because he had the virus that causes AIDS is scheduled to attend a White House conference on HIV and aging this week.
"Robert Franke, who now lives in an assisted-living facility in Little Rock, is to attend the conference today, according to the Lambda Legal HIV Project, which represented Franke in his lawsuit.
"'We're excited and honored that the White House had recognized Lambda Legal's decades of work on behalf of HIV-positive Americans,' said Scott Schoettes, staff attorney for the group."
