Last week, the Cook County Human Rights Commission found "substantial evidence" of sexual orientation discrimination after Lambda Legal filed a complaint against the Bremen Community High School District No. 228 and School Board President Evelyn Gleason on behalf of former school district superintendent Dr. Richard Mitchell.
(Chicago, December 13, 2006) — Today, Lambda Legal filed a complaint with the Cook County Human Rights Commission charging the Bremen Community High School District No. 228, Bremen Community Board of Education, and Bremen School Board president, Evelyn Gleason, with sexual orientation discrimination.
(Chicago, October 2, 2006) — In a letter sent to lawyers for the Bremen Community School Board today, Lambda Legal announced its intent to file a sexual orientation discrimination charge with the Illinois Department of Human Rights against the Bremen Community High School District No. 228 and its president, Evelyn Gleason.
