Meet our plaintiffs in Barber v. Bryant, Lambda Legal's case with co-counsel against Mississippi's hateful HB 1523.

Today, Lambda Legal filed a petition seeking a rehearing by the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on behalf of Jameka Evans, a security guard who was harassed at work and effectively terminated from her job because she is a lesbian and doesn’t conform to gender norms in her appearance and demeanor.

The 2020 census won’t include questions about sexual orientation and gender identity. The harm to LGBTQ people from being erased is not just about numbers (although those are certainly important). Census information helps determine the allocation of federally funded social services that are critically important to so many members of the LGBTQ community.

The White House today issued an Executive Order rescinding an Obama-era Executive Order 13673 which required companies that want to do business with the federal government to disclose whether they have been liable for discriminating against people, including against LGBT people.
