Lambda Legal clients Justin Murdock and Will Glavaris.

Lambda Legal filed a federal lawsuit in the US District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on behalf of three same-sex couples seeking the freedom to marry. The case was filed on behalf of Casie McGee and Sarah Adkins and Justin Murdock and Will Glavaris, both of Huntington, and Nancy Michael and Jane Fenton and their son Drew, of St. Albans.

Here's Will and Justin's story:

Justin Murdock, 32, and Will Glavaris, 31, of Huntington have been together for more than two years. They knew right away that they had each found the person they wanted to spend their lives with and have been engaged to marry each other for over a year.  Both were born and raised in West Virginia, where Justin works for his family’s business supplying physically disabled persons with mobility products and home and vehicle modifications, and Will is a network engineer. Last February, Justin asked Will to marry him. When Will accepted, dozens of their friends cheered while Justin placed an engagement ring on Will’s finger. For Justin and Will, marriage is the only word that describes to the world the promise they’ve made to each other. They want to be able to use the same word that their parents and siblings use to describe lifelong commitments.
