Lambda Legal joined a group of 30 LGBT and HIV advocacy organizations in issuing a joint statement responding to today's U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on Arizona's anti-immigrant law, SB 1070.
After the announcement that the U.S. will stop deportation proceedings for many undocumented youth Lambda Legal issued the following statement from Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, Lambda Legal Staff Attorney:
The LGBT community encompasses not only bi-national same-sex couples and LGBT asylum-seekers, but also undocumented LGBT immigrants who are often trapped in a “double closet.”
