(New York, February 20, 2008) — The Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center has settled its lawsuit against the City of Kingston over the Center's property tax exemption.

(New York, February 4, 2008) — Late Friday, the Montgomery County Circuit Court released its ruling affirming the right of the Montgomery County School Board to include medically accurate information about sexual orientation in the health education curriculum for 8th and 10th graders.

(Sacramento, California, January 11, 2008) — Equality California, the Gay-Straight Alliance Network, Lambda Legal, the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), and the Transgender Law Center are pleased at the failure of a signature drive by a coalition of extreme right-wing groups to overturn civil rights protections for California students.

SAN DIEGO – Equality California and the Gay-Straight Alliance Network are seeking to intervene in a lawsuit filed by anti-gay organizations that would prevent enforcement of California statutes protecting students from discrimination, harassment and bullying in publicly funded schools.

(New York, October 18, 2007) — In an effort to persuade the Ithaca City School District to abandon its stance that the New York Human Rights Law does not apply to public schools, Lambda Legal today sent school board members a letter critiquing the board's argument and explaining the potential harm the board's position could cause.

(Montgomery County, MD, September 4, 2007) — In court papers filed recently in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland Lambda Legal represents Metro DC Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) in a lawsuit over a decision by the Montgomery County School Board to include information about sexual orientation as part of the health education curriculum for 8th and 10th graders.

(New York, February 21, 2007) — Today, Lambda Legal applauds a decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court, finding that if a school is aware or should be aware of harassment of students based on sexual orientation, it is obligated to act to end the harassment.

(Washington, February 20, 2007) — Lambda Legal filed friend-of-the-court papers today in support of a high school student’s right to display a banner with the words “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” at a non-school-sponsored event.
