On Election Day in Iowa, equality advanced and justice was protected, as voters shielded their Supreme Court from attacks by antigay groups looking to punish justices for ruling against their extreme ideological agenda.

Justice David Wiggins, who joined the unanimous marriage equality ruling in Lambda Legal's landmark case, survived a campaign to recall him.

While it may get less attention than the presidential election, voting for judges also has an enormous impact on the law and our lives.
