Lambda Legal joined the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) and the Transgender Law Center in issuing the following statement.
For those of us who have been working many years for justice for LGBT people and people living with HIV across the country, there is more hope as well as more determination in the air today as President Obama starts his second term.
Q. I just applied for a new job, and am not sure if I should be “out” during the interview process. I don’t think my state protects employees from being discriminated against based on their sexual orientation. Can I be out at my interview or at work without risk of being rejected or fired?
